Love to twist on the classics

Chan Chun Yu, Matthew

When fashion becomes integrated into our lives, it also introduces a significant amount of pollution to our environment. The textile industry, following the oil industry, is the second-largest polluting industry in the world, making environmental protection a pressing concern for fashion designers today. My design is inspired by the concepts of biohazard and architecture, focusing on the sense of structure. I strive to combine various eco-friendly and sustainable fashion elements with futuristic ideology. By incorporating elements of anti-gravity and surrealism, I aim to create garments that are vibrant and fantastical in nature. The aim is to infuse vitality and fantasy into each design, while simultaneously addressing the environmental impact of the fashion industry. By embracing sustainable practices and drawing inspiration from unconventional sources, I hope to contribute to a more responsible and imaginative approach to fashion.
